What is RCIA?
RCIA is a spiritual journey which lasts eight months
A jouney of the mind - learning more about the Catholic faith
A journey of the heart - growing in love for God
A journey of the will - deeper conversion to the Christian way of life
A journey of friendship - meeting new friends on the same journey
Who can take RCIA?
Adults 18 and over
Anyone interested in becoming Catholic or learning more about Catholicism
Baptized Catholics who need to complete sacraments
Catholics who want to deepen their knowledge of the faith
When are the classes?
Monday Evenings, 6:30-8:00 pm, St. Mary Parish Hall
First class TBD, Fall, 2022
Last class April 10, 2023 (The Monday after Easter)
What is involved?
Class involves presentations by the team, small group discussions and fellowship
Homework includes personal prayer time, reading and video assignments
Books we will use:
The Holy Bible - New American Bible
The Catechism of the Catholic Church
Video assignments are from "Symbolon - The Catholic Faith explained" produced by the Augustine Institute: www.formed.org
What does it cost?
There is no cost for the class
If needed, a Bible and Catechism can be purchased from St. Mary for a small fee
